Always vacuum or brush the furniture first to lift loose dirt before applying any cleaner. Apply the cleaner with a soft brush and let it sit for one to two minutes. Then, use a damp cloth or sponge to gently remove the residue. Avoid scrubbing the fabric harshly, and ensure it dries thoroughly. To speed up drying, use a fan or open a window.

To protect against everyday wear, especially in homes with pets or children, consider using a furniture cover. Rotate or flip cushions regularly to promote even wear and help you detect stains early. For spot cleaning, always start with the mildest solution possible.
